Our Midwives
Heather Hames
I have been a midwife since 1990 and have worked in a variety of settings both here and in England. I was an LMC in Cambridge for many years but have for the last few years worked at Waikato Hospital. I am now returning to community midwifery practice – to return to what I love doing – supporting women and their families as they journey through pregnancy, birth and the first few weeks with their baby. I look forward to the opportunity of sharing this journey with you.
Juliet Dagnall
Living in Cambridge, my two children have grown up now giving me more time to dedicate to my midwifery. I am UK trained with BSc (Hons) RM. Working with you, in partnership, I am committed to, and passionate about providing women focused, individualised, holistic midwifery care.
Beth Fisher-Evans
Hi! I am passionate about empowering women to take charge of their own journeys by providing evidence-based information and forming a partnership that is equal and non-judgemental. My small caseload numbers allow me to give you the time and effort that is needed to ensure you are adovated for and receive care that is individualised to you. I work very closely with my practice partner Alice Jenkins, providing a shared care midwifery model and you will get to know both of us equally throughout your pregnancy.
Jo Clarke
Originally a nurse, I trained to be a midwife in the UK before moving to NZ with my family in 2004.
I have worked in all areas of midwifery, from home births to highly complex tertiary maternity care. My job is not to tell you how you should birth, but to listen to you and support you to achieve your preferences in a safe way.
My passion is supporting families through their pregnancy journey and providing evidence based care with many years experience.
